Custom-made hydraulic sleeves are manufactured by CNC turning, which makes it possible to produce even small quantities quickly, accurately and without the need to invest in expensive moulds. Typical materials are H-PU, NBR, FPM or EPDM. The dimensions, profile and geometry of the cuff can be precisely tailored to the specific situation.     <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why standard hydraulic cuffs are often not enough<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Standardized hydraulic seals are designed for common size ranges of hydraulic cylinders (most commonly according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iso.org\/standard\/74704.html\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.iso.org\/standard\/74704.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ISO 5597:2018<\/a> or ISO 7425:2021). In practice, however, situations often arise where these standard seals cannot be used and an atypical solution must be sought to ensure proper sealing function.   <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Customized hydraulic cuffs should be used especially in the following situations:<\/h3>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The piston rod has atypical dimensions that do not correspond to the standard size range.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The hydraulic cylinder elements have been overhauled due to excessive wear.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Design of custom machines with atypical hydraulic elements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Specific operating conditions where standard materials fail.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Original parts are unavailable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The building space for the seal has been modified.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>New seals are needed immediately and urgently.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These cases can be solved operatively by manufacturing hydraulic sleeves designed exactly according to the application.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are engaged in CNC production of seals and we can <a href=\"https:\/\/reontech.cz\/en\/services\/cnc-production-of-hydraulic-seals\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/reontech.cz\/sluzby\/cnc-vyroba-hydraulickeho-tesneni\/\">produce<\/a> atypical hydraulic sleeves up to 500 mm in diameter.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Benefits of custom CNC manufacturing of hydraulic cuffs<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Custom manufacturing of hydraulic cuffs brings significantly more flexibility compared to standardized solutions. The most commonly used materials include the following categories: <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/reontech.cz\/en\/cat\/seals-pur\/\">Polyurethane<\/a><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is characterized by a combination of excellent mechanical properties, high abrasion and wear resistance, flexibility and high tensile strength. Its resistance to hydrolysis makes it suitable for long-term contact with water. Selected variants meet FDA requirements and can therefore also be used in the food industry. Its excellent dry running properties make it ideal for seals and guides operating at low lubrication and high feed rates. The piston hydraulic sleeve was experiencing extrusion of material into the groove, causing the seal to fail and lose operating pressure. A standard PUR hydraulic sleeve was used.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The selected seal profile:<\/strong><br\/><a href=\"https:\/\/reontech.cz\/en\/products\/seals-for-hydraulics-and-pneumatics\/piston-seals\/\">DK102R<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Selected material:<\/strong><br\/> H-PU<a href=\"https:\/\/reontech.cz\/en\/material\/h-pu-95-sh-a\/\">95 Sh.A <\/a>+ <a href=\"https:\/\/reontech.cz\/en\/material\/pom\/\">POM<\/a> support ring<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Result:<\/strong><br\/>The use of a profile with a support ring increased the system&#8217;s pressure capacity to 700 bar. The service life has been extended many times over and there are no breakdowns or seal failures. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Power engineering &#8211; hydraulic valve drive<\/h3>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Task<\/strong>:<br\/>The hydraulic cylinder used standardised NBR components. However, the long-term operating temperature often reached up to 140\u00b0C, which led to thermal deformation of the seals and failure of the sealing function. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The selected seal profile:<\/strong><br\/><a href=\"https:\/\/reontech.cz\/en\/products\/seals-for-hydraulics-and-pneumatics\/rod-seals\/\">DS101<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Material chosen:<\/strong><br\/><a href=\"https:\/\/reontech.cz\/en\/material\/fpm-82-sh-a\/\">FPM 82 Sh.A<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Result:<\/strong><br\/>The newly selected FPM material has a temperature resistance of up to +220\u00b0C. Thanks to its high temperature resistance, the seal is no longer deformed by heat and the service life is significantly extended. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">FAQ &#8211; frequently asked questions<\/h2>\n<div id=\"rank-math-faq\" class=\"rank-math-block\">\n<div class=\"rank-math-list \">\n<div id=\"faq-question-1779685346361\" class=\"rank-math-list-item\">\n<h3 class=\"rank-math-question \">What are the most common materials for hydraulic sleeves?<\/h3>\n<div class=\"rank-math-answer \">\n\n<p>Hydraulic sleeves are most commonly made of PUR, NBR, EPDM, FPM elastomers, PTFE and engineering plastics.
