TPE

TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) is a versatile material that combines the flexibility of rubber with the advantages of thermoplastics. It features a low coefficient of friction, good abrasion resistance, and stable mechanical properties up to approximately 120 °C. Compared to polyurethanes, it has a lower permanent compression value, making it suitable for specific applications. Special variants are also available in food-grade quality. TPE is primarily used for the production of wiper rings and backup rings.
