PET

PET (polyethylene terephthalate) is a semi-crystalline technical plastic with high strength, dimensional stability, and low water absorption. It excels in wear resistance, very low thermal expansion, and good sliding as well as electrical insulation properties. These characteristics make it ideal for precise structural components with tight tolerances and complex shapes.

The material is suitable for food contact. However, it is not recommended for use with hot water above 60 °C due to its sensitivity to hydrolysis.

Common trade names include: Tecadur PET, Ertalyte, Tecapet, Sustadur PET.
