Transparent plastics

Transparent materials, such as polycarbonate (PC) and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), combine high clarity with excellent mechanical properties. Polycarbonate excels in extreme toughness and impact resistance, while PMMA (acrylic glass) offers outstanding optical properties, high gloss, and weather resistance. Both materials are easily machinable, lighter than glass, and, due to their transparency and strength, are used in industry, construction, advertising, and design.
