Felted heat-resistant fabrics
Felt heat-resistant fabrics made of stainless steel fibers excel in resistance to extreme temperatures and mechanical stress. They are an ideal solution for demanding industrial operations, especially in the glass industry.

Usage Description
The REONTHERM heat-resistant fabric features the following key properties: high temperature resistance (up to 700°C), long service life, reusability, and high quality. Special emphasis is placed on corrosion resistance, structure, composition, and weight. Focus on these parameters ensures high and reliable performance of all materials.
They are primarily designed for the glass industry. They are typically used as a protective layer for tools and other elements that come into contact with the final product during the manufacturing process. The felt heat-resistant fabric thus protects the final product from scratches, cracks, or other mechanical damage. However, they also find applications in many other fields.
Properties
- 100% composition of stainless steel fibers that permanently withstand temperatures up to 700°C.
- The stainless steel from which the material is manufactured can be enriched with para-aramid or PBO fibers to ensure higher resistance and material durability.
- For applications requiring increased spatial integrity and flexibility, the material is equipped with an insert woven from stainless steel fibers.
- All REONTHERM felt heat-resistant fabrics are standardly manufactured in rolls measuring 1200 x 10000 mm, however smaller quantities can be supplied upon request (please contact us to order a sample).
- Felt heat-resistant fabrics can also be custom calendered to improve surface quality and reduce thickness.
For applications with special requirements, the material’s properties and structure can be modified to fully comply with the specific environment and perform its function flawlessly.
The REONTHERM felt heat-resistant fabric range is designed to meet the requirements placed on the material by real environments and specific applications.
