Mica materials excel in excellent thermal and electrical resistance, making them ideal for use in electrical engineering and industry. They offer high strength, stability, and reliable insulation even at extreme temperatures. We provide full sheets, custom cuts, and precisely machined products.

Insulating Mica Sheets – THERM MICA

THERM MICA material is a mica laminate designed for electro-mechanical and thermo-mechanical applications. Approximately 90% consists of mica, with the remaining 10% being a silicone resin binder resistant to very high temperatures. THERM MICA combines high-temperature resistance (up to 1000°C) with excellent electrical insulation properties.

The material also features low thermal conductivity and very high resistance to pressure and chemicals. Furthermore, it is asbestos-free and environmentally safe.

Thanks to its unique properties, the material finds application in industries such as glass and heating, as well as in many other applications.

It is available in two variants:

  • Type P (phlogopite) offers higher temperature resistance (designed for up to 1000°C).
  • Type M (muscovite) is suitable for use in environments with lower temperatures of 700°C, but it possesses very high strength and durability.

THERM MICA material is standardly available in sheets of 1000 x 1200 mm and 1000 x 2400 mm; we can supply any other dimension as needed. Available material thickness ranges from 0.2 mm to approximately 110 mm. Both material types are highly workable and machinable.

Mica Foils, Mica Paper, and Composite Materials

We also offer mica foils, mica paper, and composite materials (mica + fibrous paper). These materials are used, for example, in induction furnaces, where their temperature resistance, electrical insulation, and low thermal conductivity are utilized.
