Usage Description
Sealing packing cords are manufactured from various materials according to operating conditions: natural materials for less demanding applications, glass and ceramic fibers for high temperatures, aramid fibers and synthetic fibers for resistance to mechanical wear, graphite and carbon for chemically aggressive media, and PTFE for a wide temperature range and chemical resistance.
Due to low friction, easy installation, and long service life, packing cords ensure reliable operation, protect equipment, reduce media leakage, and increase the efficiency of industrial processes.
We offer the possibility of manufacturing custom-braided packing cords tailored to specific operating conditions.
Static application
Natural materials
Cords made of cotton, flax, or hemp for static sealing in fittings, lids, and vessels. Impregnated with greases, oils, or graphite for better sealing effect and easy installation.
Glass fibers
Resistant to higher temperatures and chemicals. Suitable for static fittings, furnaces, and industrial vessels where thermal stability is required.
Ceramic fibers
For static sealing at extremely high temperatures and aggressive media. High thermal and chemical resistance ensures long service life.
Dynamic application
Natural materials
Cords made of cotton, flax, or hemp for less demanding movable fittings and pumps. Impregnated with greases or graphite to reduce friction and extend service life.
Glass fibers
Resistant to higher temperatures and chemicals, suitable for movable fittings and pumps. Low friction ensures reliable operation.
Ceramic fibers
For dynamic sealing at high temperatures and aggressive media. High thermal and chemical resistance with long service life.
Graphite/carbon
Low friction, high resistance to heat and chemicals, suitable for movable fittings and valves in aggressive media.
Aramid fibers

PTFE
Excellent chemical resistance and low friction. Ideal for movable fittings and aggressive media across a wide temperature range.
