Milling of wood and plywood

We can mill wood, plywood and other related materials up to a maximum size of 3100 x 2100 mm. Thanks to our two modern CNC milling machines, we can produce the part accurately, efficiently and handle large batches. In addition to the milling itself, we also perform other necessary machining and finishing operations – e.g. grinding, surface finishing, engraving.

What we can solve:

Solid wood, but also plywood, laminate boards and other related materials are milled and processed up to a maximum product size of 3100 x 2100 mm. Thanks to our production capacity, we can produce prototypes and small batches, but we can also cope with large series production. With laser engraving technology we can also engrave any graphic motif or mark parts according to your requirements. We are aware that wood products usually serve as visual products and therefore we take care of the maximum quality of workmanship and visual aspect of the product. If necessary, we can also use our optical measuring instrument to check the product, which guarantees the quality with a measuring protocol.

How is CNC wood milling done?

Inquire CNC wood milling
01
Determination of requirements, assessment of technical drawing
On the basis of a technical drawing, or by measuring a sample, we will assess the manufacturability of the part and prepare a non-binding quotation. We will also consult the material - we have experience with many types of solid woods as well as laminate and plywood.
02
Production preparation
Our CNC machine operators will prepare the production technology according to the specific part. Here, the specific requirements of wood milling must be taken into account, with an emphasis on maximum surface quality and visual design. For this reason, we use purpose-designed machine tools with the appropriate geometry for wood milling.
03
Production of milled wood parts
Then comes the production itself. Thanks to our modern CNC milling machines, woodworking is precise, fast and efficient. Again, however, the specific requirements of woodworking must be taken into account and the production process adapted accordingly. Other operations may follow - sanding, surface finishing, laser engraving and more.
04
Part inspection, measurement
The finished milled part is finally cleaned, inspected, measured and prepared for safe dispatch. We use integrated measuring probes to measure the parts, which we also use for precise alignment of the product on the machine. For checking dimensional tolerances, we can also use our optical measuring device, which measures the part really accurately and prepares a measurement report, thanks to which we can guarantee that the required tolerances are met.

Frequently Asked Questions

CNC milling is suitable for solid wood, MDF, timber, laminate, plywood, OSB and other wood-based panel materials. The technology enables precise machining of simple and very complex shapes.

The main advantages include high precision, clean edges, fast production and the possibility of repeatable mass production. CNC milling also minimises material waste and enables the production of detailed decorative and technical elements.

Milled parts made of wood and board materials are used in the production of furniture, interiors, advertising elements, packaging, templates, design panels or structural components for industrial applications.

Our CNC machines have a working area of 3100 x 2100 mm, which is also the theoretical maximum part size. So if the starting material is available in a large enough format, we can produce really large parts.

The plywood has a higher dimensional stability and less tendency to deformation due to its layered construction. Solid wood, on the other hand, reacts more to moisture and the structure of the material (e.g. the amount of knots) can affect the resulting machining quality.

Yes, CNC milling allows not only precision cutting, but also engraving or the production of decorative reliefs. The technology is often used for design panels, advertising signs or custom production of interior elements.
