Polycarbonate Milling
We manufacture milled polycarbonate parts up to a maximum size of 2100 x 3100 mm. Thanks to our technological equipment, our production is precise and efficient, enabling us to manufacture both individual parts and large series.
Description
- Polycarbonate (and other transparent technical materials) are highly suitable for milling, and polycarbonate parts are used across various industries.
- Most commonly, they are used for windows, machine and equipment viewing panels, protective barriers, roofing, and many other applications where they replace traditional glass. Polycarbonate (in hardened form) is also used as a component of safety glass.
We manufacture milled polycarbonate parts using state-of-the-art KiMLA CNC milling machines, which guarantee high precision and quality of execution. - Thanks to the sufficient size of our machines, we can process polycarbonate in full standard formats (typically 2050 x 3050 mm), making our processing highly efficient and enabling us to produce even very large parts.
- We keep the most commonly used material thicknesses (3, 4, 5, 6, and 8 mm) in stock, allowing us to flexibly address urgent production needs.
- When milling polycarbonates, we take into account their specific properties, and therefore the machining conditions differ significantly from traditional metal machining.
- We use purpose-designed machining tools with appropriate geometry and adjust cutting conditions according to the specific material used.
- With the selection of appropriate tools and conditions, polycarbonates can also be polished to achieve transparent edges, which is particularly suitable for visible parts.
